LA COLINA - Hotel Cottage It is the project of the Ruiz Gómez family. Whose members have been committed for more than 50 years to art and culture. The entire hotel is characterized by original works of art that bring the hotel facilities to life.

The active members of the family that give free rein to the madness of the art world are: Martha Lucia Gomez (1946) Colombian economist,  Francisco Ruiz (1945) Argentine painter, based in Colombia from 1976 and his children Federico Ruiz (1981) -Art Dealer- and  Felipe Ruiz (1984) -sculptor-. 

Francisco designed and built in 1979 the main building of what is now the hotel, taking into account his particular conceptions of light and the space that he required to create his work. At the end of the 1980s, he also built the second building, where today the atelier where his son works is located.

Martha conceived the project of the hotel in the year 2013 from the opportunity to have a space with unique characteristics that was of great attraction for his friends over many decades. 

Felipe from a very young age showed great gifts for the arts and today he is a consecrated sculptor of great recognition. His works are present in multiple public and private collections. 

Federico Ruiz is in charge of the management and commercialization of the works. Art Dealer and Cultural Manager, with more than 15 years of career in the art market in Colombia. He has a wide portfolio of Colombian and Latin American artists whom he represents.

Both Francisco and Felipe have their atelier a few meters from the Cottage and within the hotel facilities.

LA COLINA - Hotel Cottage It is presented as a whole cultural environment whose unique experience differs from any other in the city, because of this close relationship with the trade and profession of the artist. Even more, the hotel is located high in the northwestern hills that border Bogotá, where they have inhabited recognized national plastic artists for the last 50 years.
